Let's be honest, when it comes to looking for new mobile phone contracts there is a lot of choice. No more so than when it comes to choosing your latest mobile phone handset.

sony-xperia-x1

If you are a business man, then one of the best handsets to go for would be the Sony Ericsson Xperia x1. You can get the sony X1 on contract for free on a monthly package of around £35. The X1 has a qwerty keyboard and touch screen interface. It is also slim and very easy to use.

samsung-m8800-pixon

Another handset that is particularly popular is the Samsung Pixon which I blog about it earlier. There are lots of great value Samsung Pixon deals available from many of the major online retailers. This is a touch screen business mobile phone that is proving one of Samsungs most popular offerings for 2009. However we reckon that this might change with the release of the Nokia N97 later this year.

Nokia’s 6208c with the ‘bamboo’ stylus

Written by ImagesLab.net on Wednesday, January 07, 2009

Nokia hit the China market with their latest "Bamboo" stylus phone - Nokia 6208c.

This phone was unveiled in Nanjing China on 31st December 2008, just one day before 2009. This is the forth touch screen phone by Nokia. With a large screen, it allows user to easily switch to using Chinese characters. Look at the phone, don't you love the design?

Nokia’s press release:

In an event held today in Nanjing Nokia unveiled the Nokia 6208c, a new pen input device which caters for a number of different customers, specifically those in China. The touch screen on the 6208c is optimized to write Chinese characters and messages in the most natural way, with a pen.

The design of the stylus, attached to the back of the phone, is inspired by bamboo slips and works perfectly with the large color display which is reminiscent of an ink stone, another element from traditional Chinese art and culture. All these design cues are implemented using premium materials such as the stainless steel back cover, which makes the handset both easy to use and comfortable to hold.

Added to the Chinese language support, the device features a number of different languages and characters.

With a 3.2 megapixel camera, dual LED flash and 4x digital zoom, the Nokia 6208c makes capturing memories and sharing moments simple and easy. The large input area features larger fonts for messaging and browsing as well as viewing pictures and web pages. The new handset also supports optional microSD cards up to 8GB, providing ample memory for images, videos, music and more.

Sony Ericsson C510

Written by ImagesLab.net on Monday, January 05, 2009

When browsing through the net this morning, guess what I spotted? The Sony Ericsson C510, thanks to Daily Mobile.

This latest phone from Sony Ericsson is a mid-level CyberShot phone. The Sony Ericsson C510 falls under the CyberShot series with a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, LED flash, a dedicated shutter key, 160MB of internal memory, and other photo-centric features that you can easily come across on a Cybershot mobile phone; just like the earlier C-series and K-series.

Sony Ericsson comes with a 2.2-inch QVGA display which is considered quite large for a non touch screen phone. The accelerometer for auto-screen rotation surely makes the C510 slightly more attractive. Adding to that are extra features like upload/download of videos to YouTube, face detection and smile shutter. Hmm, so where is the xenon flash?

The Sony Ericsson C510 is likely to hit the market in February 2009. However, its price is still unknown as of now. Here are some pictures that I grabbed from Daily Mobile.

Mobile Software For HTC TyTN II

Written by ImagesLab.net on Sunday, January 04, 2009

Do you own a PDA phone like HTC TyTN II or any Windows Mobile device?

I am going to talk about few applications, in fact the 5 most popular applications you should install into your phone.

The first application is the Spb Mobile Shell 2.1.4, this application should be the first program a Windows Mobile user need to install. It dramatically improves the standard user interface and adds features that most users expect from a modern PDA phone.

Then followed by MobiTV which I've talked about in my last few post, where you can watch over 40 LIVE and made-for-mobile channels on your phone! Say ESPN, NBC, Discovery, Disney and more - wherever you are.

Spb Pocket Plus 4.0.2, the Microsoft distinguished service pack with the most awaited features missed in the Windows Mobile - is a top-selling award winning software.

Spb Backup 2.0.1, this software is the ultimate backup solution for creating reserve copies of data on your Windows Mobile device.

Last but not least, Spb Keyboard 4.1 - The ideal solution for touch-screen typing. This is for those users who're having a hard time using the touch screen for typing.

Of course there might be more useful applications that you might want to install it into your PDA or Windows Mobile device but these are the top 5!

Apple iPod Touch with a large screen

Written by ImagesLab.net on Friday, January 02, 2009

Word on the grapevine is that Apple is planning to release an iPod Touch device with a 7-to-9 inch screen in the fall of 2009.

CNet’s Crave points to TechCruch as the source, who claims to have actually handled one of the prototypes, and Apple is taking with manufacturers in Asia about mass production of the device. The device is a mixture of a tablet PC and an iPod, and tablet rumours have been floating around Apple for years.
