iPod Touch Review

Written by ImagesLab.net on Saturday, February 02, 2008

With the launch of iPod Touch, I would like to do a review about this new toy. iPod Touch comes with 2 standard packages; the 8GB and 16GB model.

So what is in the package? It comes with iPod Touch, earphones, sync cable, an acrylic stand, a dock adapter, user manuals and a cleaning cloth.

Above is how the front and back looks like. The back of the device is furnished with glossy aluminium which can probably function as a mirror for the ladies or maybe also for some pretty boys. I like the size so much; it is only 8mm thick and it only weighs 120grams. Unfortunately, this hot baby (iPod Touch) is only available in black.

You'll be amazed with its interface; it can automatically switch from landscape to portrait mode when tilted and you can zoom photos in and out just by using your fingers to touch, drag or pinch. As it supports WiFi, you can surf the net whenever you are in or within a WiFi access point. With the 3.5 inches display, you can surf way better than a normal PDA phone.

If you're an existing iPod user be it a iPod Nano, shuffle or classic users, the sound quality of iPod Touch is good enough to compete with the rest of the other models. The only down part is there is no loudspeaker attach with it. Which means you will need to listen to music using the headset all the time. Playing movies or videos clip on this device is great as the screen is big and wide.

It is installed with iTunes which allows you to listen to a free 30 seconds preview before deciding whether you want to purchase it (99¢ per song by way of download). It also comes attached with few applications which includes audiobooks, podcasts, iPod games and iTunes Jukebox.

The design of this device is so attractive and I simply can't resist the temptation. Especially the beautiful, multi-touch screen. Unless there's a sudden windfall or else I’ll need to wait for my next bonus pay out to get this cool baby home. No doubt this is the best music player at this very moment.

The iPod Touch is available at all Apple Centre in Malaysia retailing at RM1,739 (16GB) and RM1,339 (8GB).
