Hotlink Active 10

Written by ImagesLab.net on Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Can you recall few years back when Hotlink came out with their first ever Active 5? I used to be one of its subscriber during my Uni life. It's quite a common scene for students to be using a prepaid plan even till now.

Nowadays every telco company has their own strategies to attract more customers. Let's put it this way, almost all of the promotions from the different telcos are just about the same. The difference is just how you look at it.

In today's topic, I'm gonna introduce to you the latest promotion from Hotlink. The promo is quite similar to the previous Hotlink Active 5. It's just that there's an increase in the number of friends and family that can be chosen to enjoy the special rates (Up to 10 peoples from Hotlink or Maxis Postpaid numbers).

So... what's the rate if you are calling or smsing these 10 peoples?
Call : 15sen/min
SMS : 1sen/SMS

With this rate, it really made me feel like switching back to a prepaid plan, which seems much more cheaper than what I'm using now - Maxis RM75 Postpaid Plan. This plan really knock their competitors hard (Digi & Celcom). Well, we'll just wait and see, as I'm certain that Digi and Celcom will surely be coming out with something else to compete with Hotlink.

Actually, the only reason I dislike prepaid is because I will need to reload whenever the credit is low. I feel that it's a waste of time. Why can't the telcos just have some collaboration with local banks for automatic top-up by just deducting our savings/current account balance when our credit runs low? Some examples would be the Maybank Zing card that can auto reload the touch 'n go or the Ambank's NexG iTalk prepaid card that auto top up the credit for iTalk when it's running low. Anticipating that day to appear...
