Samsung Sgh i550w - Battery Life
Written by ImagesLab.net on Friday, April 18, 2008Another important aspect for a phone I think should most probably be its battery life. This phone actually uses a standard battery, Li-Ion 1200 mAh. Any idea what this Li-Ion 1200 mAh is? It actually meant the more mAh it has, the longer the battery life is. Simple? Haha…
A lot of phone review usually just let us know the total talk time and the stand by time for a particular phone.
What I did was a little bit different. I did this small experiment to determine the battery life. How long the battery can last? Leave it for you to do the thinking. The following are my phone’s activities:
17th April:
-Fully charge the battery at about 11:30am.
-Made out-going call about 4 minutes.
-Reached office at about 1:30pm – played game for 25 minutes before I start work. (Still in full bar)
-Made out-going call for 6 minutes.
-Played game at 7pm again for 35 minutes and answered incoming call for 5 minutes. (6/7 bars left)
-At 9:55pm when I checked my phone. (5/7 bars left)
-At 12:15pm (4/7 bars left)
Went to sleep…….. (Sweet Dreams… zzz)
18th April:
-Woke up at 10am (yes, that’s late but today is my OFFDAY) – check on the battery
(3/7 bars left)
-Lunch time at 1pm…. (3/7 bars left)
-Play music for 20 minutes (3/7 bars left)
-3:20pm - (2/7 bars left)
-Made out-going call for 5 minutes at 4pm.... (1/7 bar left)
I think it is time for me to recharge the battery. I will leave it to you to judge how lasting is the battery life from my daily activities. I will try out the battery life with average usage of the GPS and Wifi function later.
*In between all the activities, total SMSes received and sent are approximately 25.
Summary:
Battery lasted for 1 day and 5 hours. With total talk time of about 20 minutes, played game for 1 hour, played music for 20 minutes and a total of 25 smses.
