My Favorite Symbian Applications
Written by ImagesLab.net on Wednesday, January 30, 2008I've been using a symbian phone for about 4 months now. Ever since I got my N73 Music Edition, I've tried quite a number of its applications. Here are some of my favorites:
Screenshot V2.60
This application allows me to take screen shots of my symbian OS phone in JPEG, BMP, PNG or MBM format. I can then use it to share my themes or applications on forums.
cCam
This is one of the most powerful application (in my opinion). Actually the shutter sound from my phone's camera can't be turned off while taking pictures. But with this application, I can start snapping around without any worries, as the annoying shutter sound would no longer be heard for good. Cool isn't it ?
Slick V0.36
I've previously blogged about this application before, where you can chat using ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, MSN and Google Talk. It's a very useful application as it comes in handy when you're not equipped with your lappy or a PC. I shall repeat (just in case you've missed out on that blog topic) that by using this application, it will cost airtime and may result in charges as it requires GPRS or 3G to connect to the Internet. Unless of course if you are using Wifi.
Y-Browser
This is my all time favorite application. It works something like your regular window explorer. You may explore all the files which you have earlier saved in your phone memory or memory card in seconds. Renaming, deleting and copying files will never be a problem for you any longer.
Auto Lock V1.1
This is very useful for those forgetful (phone) owners that have time and again failing to remember to key lock their phones. You may set the key lock to turn on automatically depending on the timing that you desire.
Adobe PDF Reader
This is an application to view PDF files on your phone. You may download PDF file from your email or you can transfer via bluetooth or save PDF files in your phone memory or memory card.
DivX Player
For those who prefer viewing videos on a symbian phone, this is a must have application. This player actually allows you to playback 320kbps QVGA DivX video at 15fps without any lags. Make sure you get at least the 0.85 version or above.
